MLB Draft Pool
MiLB Draft Pool
- Slow, snake draft. 26 rounds to fill the roster
- Order will be randomized before draft begins.
- Draft will be comprised of ALL players from each available roster currently on the MLB roster
- Replacement managers will automatically participate in draft
- Returning managers have the option to participate in the draft - they will then add all current MLB contracts into the player pool
- Draft eligible players will keep their current contract.
- Restricted free agents (those with contracts that need to be renewed) are still draft eligible. If drafted, the manager will have to follow traditional rules when extending the contract of 1.5x average annual value.
- MiLB players that are FORCED CALL-UPS (having exceeded minimum AB/IP the prior season) are draft eligible at a rookie contract
- MiLB players that are not forced call-ups are not eligible for the MLB draft
- No Trading of picks or players during the draft with participating or non-participating teams
- At any time, a team can skip a pick or forego the rest of the draft. You do not have to draft a player with your pick.
- All players that are not drafted will be released and Free Agent eligible
MiLB Draft Pool
- Snake draft in the reverse order of the randomized MLB draft
- There is a separate MiLB draft for prospects that meet current minors eligibility (<50 IP, <150AB at MLB)
- Only MiLB players that are CURRENTLY on an available roster are eligible
- Draft picks of the participating teams are also available
- No trading of picks or players during the draft with participating or non-participating teams
- At any time, a team can skip a pick or forego the rest of the draft. You do not have to draft a player with your pick.
- All players that are not drafted will be released and MiLB Draft eligible in the league-wide draft
Salary Cap
- The salary cap for each team participating in the draft will be equal to the average of the sum of the total salary caps for all participating teams. For example: Team A has $180, Team B $140, Team C $130 = $150 salary per team
- Teams not participating in the draft will still have the same salary cap that is tied to their finish from the prior season
