I just want to see if people are interested in changing this rule. Most of the most vocal seem to want a change, but I want everyone to be able to have a vote and I want it to be a simple yes or no to see how the league sees it.
Quick Overview of Reviewable Options:
Standard Escalator Option: After the $2-Ry1/Ry2, the control is $4-1yr, $6-1 yr, $8-1yr. Can resign starting at $12 in Year 7
Comparative Based Option: After the first 3 years of minimum control, players are paid arbitration based on last years ranking:
Top 20 preseason ranking: $10
Top 50 preseason ranking: $8
Top 75 preseason ranking: $6
Top 100 preaseason ranking: $5
Top 150 preaseason ranking: $4
Everyone else: $2
Giants Option: Quicker increase, but it keeps salaries consistent. By Year 6, you will need to budget $9 for your core players, which is a fair cost for the players you don't want to reach FA.
$2-R
$4-Ry1/$4-Ry2
$6 1-2 years
Stat Based Option: Each stat will have a set monetary value for different ranges, giving players a true value based payscale
