Have the admins considered extending the deadline? I mean we can't see our Yahoo roster so this might impact re-signings especially if position eligibility has not yet been finalized by Yahoo.

I know, we can't see our Yahoo roster and only guessing at position eligibility. A player could be worth more then you think because he's multi position eligible or I could have made a mistake thinking a player is eligible at a certain position vs the one I'm not resigning. Not sure what the rush is, we are 3 months from the start of the regular season. Feb 1 seems like an arbitrary date
It's been 5 starts/10 appearances at a position on Yahoo for years. You can check it easily on baseball reference.
Yahoo automates all this would have been easier to put this off at least for a week - Feb 1 vs Feb 7 or whatever date is not going to make any difference

In regards to Feb 1st, if you look at previous years start dates or resigning dates 2015 & 2016. 2017 was scheduled to start Feb 1st but the start was extended to the 14th to allow new managers extra time since joining near the deadline. We are trying to be consistent to allow teams to be settled in before the start of the season.
I know I am OTC and will pick or trade the pick shortly but I think we should consider moving the re-signing deadline back until after Yahoo opens...there is no way to gauge which players are FAs (or likely to be FA) until Yahoo opens...
Being new, I thought it was crazy and not wise to have our draft before Yahoo opened. I thought. how do I figure out who can be drafted. Well, I did the, work. I figured out who the almost 250 prospects who were already drafted. I listed them alphabetically. I researched all the “prospects” websites, and had a very informed draft. It was hard to do and took a lot of time. I have done free agency the same way. I have a list of about 20 players I may bid on. I am prepared, with or without Yahoo. It also was hard to do and took a lot of time.
This is a great league.....almost all managers are very active, there are abundant trades, there is lots of baseball chatter and fun chatter, very knowledable managers who know about a High School SS prospect in Noth Dakota and know his worth in trade talks and in drafting (Actually there is no such thing as a prospect in ND, that is for you Kyle.
My point is, this is a league that managers must work to keep up with and to play. This is not a casual league where you visit once or twice a week. It’s an everyday or more league. When you have almost all managers take this attitude, it’s priceless.
Why would I fight like hell, spend so much time and energy preparing for the draft, free agency, or making trades, etc. all in an effort to move from 13th in the standings, to top 10 this year, and top 5 next year as my goal? The reason is that many many others are doing the same thing.

Yes I fully understand that and you are correct we do need to be consistent however and probably more important is to ensure we get this right.
None of the Yahoo dynasty leagues that I'm in start the off-season activities until end of Feb or even March - and for good reason because it's impossible to do without Yahoo.

Red Sox (Kris): We still have a MAX 20 prospects, correct?
Feb 26, 2024 9:15:10 GMT -5
Ryan (Cubs): Yes. 20 prospects is the MiLB max, you either need to drop a prospect or call someone up if you are over that limit.
Feb 26, 2024 11:56:08 GMT -5
Red Sox (Kris): I don’t, but I know that some do. So, to be clear, we can draft over the 20 limit as long as we cut down before the season starts?
Feb 29, 2024 23:45:26 GMT -5
Ryan (Cubs): Technically you should be dropping a player anytime a draft pick or trade takes you over the limit of 20. I must've missed it but Yankees needs to release one of his MiLB players, they are the only team over the limit right now

Rockies (Jose): Is Yuki Matsui rostered?
Mar 12, 2024 16:15:04 GMT -5
Ryan (Cubs): Technically you can't bid on Yuki in free agency until he pitches an inning in the MLB. You could have drafted him in the MiLB draft, but players that haven't made their debut can't be nominated in Free Agency.

Mariners (Rook): I do believe Ronel Blanco free agent final bid of $3/3 by LAD is invalid and the player should be returned to free agency. That was LAD last transaction and it put his cap -0.25. We can’t go negative cap. What say you?

Ryan (Cubs): @mariners, correct. LAD's bid on Blanco put him $.25 over the cap so the bid is invalidated. I've messaged LAD and dropped Blanco from his roster
