I could be way off, but what's the thoughts on:
-Promotions tab (remove/replace "forced callups" tab). This would be for every promotion (forced or not).
-"Roster moves" adjusted to "not normal moves" (needs a better title). No longer posting every NA/IL. Only if it's something odd...or, one post and you keep adding to it, instead of every transaction a new thread (this would cut down the number of posts.

There is no reason to post all the comings and going’s of IL and NA players. It’s just busy work with no real purpose. I see the need to post “Roster Moves” for the following:
1) Suspended players - they can be dropped but still owned. Other managers need to see this. 2) Call up of Prospects. 3) Excessive IL players dropped but still owned. Yahoo max is 10 lL. Perhaps a team has 12 players on IL and wishes to obtain two more Free agents. Other managers need to see this two dropped IL players still owned. (Personally think 10 players on IL should be the limit. If you exceed 10 players on IL, it might be a good time to buyout a few players or just go short on bench players for a bit until some of those IL players return. .

I feel both of these can be implemented without a vote, since neither really affect anything 'game-wise'
-Starting next year, we can move to a 'Promotions' tab -starting next year, under 'Roster Moves' will be the written: Suspended players or Excessive IL/NA players Only.

I’ll throw this out there to think about. Prior to last year Yahoo allowed only 5 IL positions. It was increased to10 IL last year along with this year. Do we really need to allow more than 10 players on IL by dropping several IL players that are still owned? It seems to me that a team should either buyout some marginal players if they have excessive players on IL or just have less bench players available if they choose not to buyout any players. Yes, we can all keep track of a few IL players dropped who are still owned, but excessive means just that, excessive.

First, this should be a different rules discussion, as it doesn't pertain to this thread. Injuries can't be predicted. Players are picked up as fillers also hit the IL. I have no problem with the current setting, as those decisions need to be made when the player comes back from IL. A team shouldn't have to repurchase a filler body each time someone goes down, if they're already dealing with a team of injuries.
Ryan (Cubs): Today is the last day to re-sign your restricted free agents! All players that are left unsigned will be dropped tomorrow and eligible for free agency

Red Sox (Kris): We still have a MAX 20 prospects, correct?
Feb 26, 2024 9:15:10 GMT -5
Ryan (Cubs): Yes. 20 prospects is the MiLB max, you either need to drop a prospect or call someone up if you are over that limit.
Feb 26, 2024 11:56:08 GMT -5
Red Sox (Kris): I don’t, but I know that some do. So, to be clear, we can draft over the 20 limit as long as we cut down before the season starts?
Feb 29, 2024 23:45:26 GMT -5
Ryan (Cubs): Technically you should be dropping a player anytime a draft pick or trade takes you over the limit of 20. I must've missed it but Yankees needs to release one of his MiLB players, they are the only team over the limit right now

Rockies (Jose): Is Yuki Matsui rostered?
Mar 12, 2024 16:15:04 GMT -5
Ryan (Cubs): Technically you can't bid on Yuki in free agency until he pitches an inning in the MLB. You could have drafted him in the MiLB draft, but players that haven't made their debut can't be nominated in Free Agency.

Mariners (Rook): I do believe Ronel Blanco free agent final bid of $3/3 by LAD is invalid and the player should be returned to free agency. That was LAD last transaction and it put his cap -0.25. We can’t go negative cap. What say you?

Ryan (Cubs): @mariners, correct. LAD's bid on Blanco put him $.25 over the cap so the bid is invalidated. I've messaged LAD and dropped Blanco from his roster
