Playing Dynasty baseball is suppose to be fun. The way this discussion is going you would think this was a money league with the entry fee being a $1000. The way I see it if you don't like the rules of the league move on. There are plenty of leagues to join. Or if you want the rules to be what you require start your own league.

This league has been fun for the past five years, this off season has become less fun due to certain questionable things being allowed. I have always thought that the salary cap disparity was messed up and wrong. It doesn't make any sense at all to give the top teams more of an advantage. All the rebuttal is it prevents teams from tanking and staying interested first of all if you're worried about tanking then make it clear that if someone is tanking and not trying or not being active they get kicked out. Apparently I need to leave the league because I'm not another sheep in the herd following the shepherds that are on top of the league, and actually wanting to improve the league so that all the managers have an equal ability and chance to compete. Instead of teams being host teams for the top teams to poach players from when they are out of competition for winning the league by May and then the trades that are lopsided occur even more than they have this off season.

Again, there are 13 ppl voting this way and the “shepherds” put up a poll to see what the league thought lol. I don’t think anything has ever changed in this league without a league wide vote where there needs to be a majority. Also, all 5 leaders of this league are in very different stages of competition, so there is no secret conglomerate of elite teams trying to enact rules to keep others down like it seems you are suggesting. Also, we regularly differ on what we want in rules and changes and then bring options to the league and always leave room for other options. These “woe is me” feelings don’t feel warranted even if your vote doesn’t win. With that said, you ha e been a great member if the league for years and I hope it continues

Kyle, nobody is going to force you to leave just like nobody is going to force you to stay. Personally, I hope you stay. You’ve been a consistent contributor and active manager and that’s always needed. It’s important that you realize this is 100% YOUR DECISION. If you decide to leave, it’s because you CHOOSE to leave and not because someone kicked you out. If you decide to stay, it’s because you CHOOSE to stay and understand that the vast majority of the league (not just the best teams) was in agreement on this issue - even if you weren’t one of them. Whatever you decide, playing the victim card needs to stop as the situation does not merit it.

I'm staying never considered leaving, if I am ever not in this league it's because I got kicked out for not agreeing with something. Also, I'm not playing any sort of "victim card" I'm simply advocating for a much needed, beneficial, and positive change that has been needed for the five years I've been in this league. I don't know where I finished last season but it wasn't last. I'm just fed up with a bunch of junk that has transpired this off season in this league, and that's why I hate that there are so many naive managers that don't see how a sliding cap is an unnecessary disadvantage that teams have to overcome, and that teams aren't given an equal chance at competing because they are all behind the eight ball to begin with.

Please explain the 3 options. I'd don't get any of them - they appear to be all the same

1) No change to current salary cap. Salary is a sliding scale based on team finish 2) Make salaries for all teams the same 3) Make salaries for all teams the same and then added “bonuses” for performance that would increase your salary

Red Sox (Kris): We still have a MAX 20 prospects, correct?
Feb 26, 2024 9:15:10 GMT -5
Ryan (Cubs): Yes. 20 prospects is the MiLB max, you either need to drop a prospect or call someone up if you are over that limit.
Feb 26, 2024 11:56:08 GMT -5
Red Sox (Kris): I don’t, but I know that some do. So, to be clear, we can draft over the 20 limit as long as we cut down before the season starts?
Feb 29, 2024 23:45:26 GMT -5
Ryan (Cubs): Technically you should be dropping a player anytime a draft pick or trade takes you over the limit of 20. I must've missed it but Yankees needs to release one of his MiLB players, they are the only team over the limit right now

Rockies (Jose): Is Yuki Matsui rostered?
Mar 12, 2024 16:15:04 GMT -5
Ryan (Cubs): Technically you can't bid on Yuki in free agency until he pitches an inning in the MLB. You could have drafted him in the MiLB draft, but players that haven't made their debut can't be nominated in Free Agency.

Mariners (Rook): I do believe Ronel Blanco free agent final bid of $3/3 by LAD is invalid and the player should be returned to free agency. That was LAD last transaction and it put his cap -0.25. We can’t go negative cap. What say you?

Ryan (Cubs): @mariners, correct. LAD's bid on Blanco put him $.25 over the cap so the bid is invalidated. I've messaged LAD and dropped Blanco from his roster
